notPopular.com is an online community. Its not just a zine, its not just a review
site, or a place to meet people. Its all of those things rolled together in the
hopes that people out there can make new friends, learn things and just have a
good time.
I registered this domain name in november of 2000. I didnt know what I was going
to be using it for, but the name sounded cool so I bought it. One day I decided
that I needed a new project to work on. After playing around with php and a few
databases, the idea for notPopular.com was born. I like to program, I like music
and I like to meet people, so thats the focus I took for the site. I enjoy working
on it, I hope you enjoy using it.
To make using notPopular.com fun to use, set your monitors resolution to 1024
x 768 or higher, use Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher if you use windows. This
site was all developed to be friendly to linux based browsers. I used to be a
big fan of netscape, but new version of netscape just sucks now in my opinion.
Sorry if you only have a 13 or 15 inch monitor that cant support 1024 x 768, but
if you can afford it, 19 and 21 inch monitor are so worth it!
